can we? will we? I think it's doubtful, atb. I think we're stuck - we really want to keep Trent. He's progressed, become a real weapon on offense and he knows Mick's system. But at his height, he has a problem - to have a pro career he needs to be an effective ball handler and distributor. That means he needs to play with the ball in his hands a lot, to improve his handle and show his passing abilities. So - we want him back again and he needs to play PG.
Means we can bring in a another combo guard who can play alongside him, pick up the defensive responsibilities against an opposing PG but also not convince Perry and his people he's going to be shoved into an SG role next season.
I think Mick could sell him on a two PG lineup but will an A-list PG buy into that, settle for it as it were? I think it's doubtful. So fingers crossed Blackwell wants to live and play and learn in LA and UCLA is his destination.
