Not sure how to make this clearer: UCLA recruits itself. Just about any 18-21 year old would LOVE to be on that campus with those athletic resources. It’s a phenomenal place to be a student athlete.
Even the worst recruiter, like Cronin, will get some good players simply because it’s UCLA. But if you compare the level of talent that this current coach has brought in with what we saw from Alford, Howland and Lavin, it’s unmistakable how far we’ve fallen off. You need the right coach here to make the program thrive with its recruiting. This moron is not the right guy, obviously.
