nationally ranked isn’t a valid argument that one can’t recruit, then what is? Is the basis of whether one is a good recruiter then results during the season? Because outcomes of belt to a*s beat downs in the round of 32, not winning regular season conference championship, not winning conference tournaments, and not getting 1 seeds does not exactly make for an argument that one IS a great recruiter. Because doing those things - winning the conference championship, winning the conference tournament, getting a 1 seed, is exactly what schools like Duke and Arizona have done that results in people talking about them regularly and viewing them as great programs.
