Arizona? Until this year they haven't gotten past the S16 since 2015 and had only one #1 seed during that time. You set unrealistic standards that few if any reach every year.
If results are the best measure of recruiting, then why did Kentucky flame out early in the tournament in every recent year after getting top-10 recruiting classes? Because most of the recruits left early leaving them with little experience? Many factors go into the success of a team. Injuries for example derailed possibly Cronin's best team.
Getting those highly rated hs players isn't as important as you think. Teams win with transfers now.
Nobody is saying Cronin is a great recruiter. But he certainly isn't a poor one as I have shown. Not getting the high priced players doesn't mean one can't recruit.
