Part of that was out of necessity, but part of that was that Bona learned how to be more offensively effective. Bona was a very athletic flawed and limited player who, under Cronin became a more complete player. Very much akin to Mara's time under Cronin.
Bailey, for all his abilities, became a more reliable player in his one year under Cronin much like Jaquez. Just projecting here, if Bailey had stayed one or more years he probably would have also improved perhaps at the level that Jaquez improved, but we'll never know.
From my perspective, every player under Cronin has improved their game - some significantly. Cronin is the real deal in terms of coaching. One may not like things about Cronin, I know I do, but no one can legitimately say that Cronin can't coach, and specifically that he can't develop players.
