It's not crazy to pay multi-millions given the money being made from big tome college sports. What's crazy IMO is that college sports has come to this. It's probably always been inevitable since they starting bringing in essentially non-students on scholarship to play sports and win games. Once universities were generating loads of money from games and coaches were getting paid millions to win games it was only fair to pay the players. No one, I believe, disputes that. What is crazy IMO is that college sports increasingly becomes less and less about the true mission of a university which I always thought was education and more and more about money making.
