I wonder. Does any other college franchise in the U.S. operate that way, with a student org renting out athletic facilities to the Ath. Dept?

Of course, until August ASUCLA also totally controlled the UCLA logo franchise (link).

I appreciate, maybe more than most, the spirit that motivated these arrangements. UCLA athletics are supposed to be about students ("student-athletes"). But in today's cut-throat business environment? It seems decades out of date, and downright weird in the 2020's.
