Jarmond didn't just get picked off the street. Are you trying to say he didn't earn his job? The guy had a pretty solid resume, and we're moving to a conference under his watch that will drastically increase our revenue and exposure...
People are earning their opportunities and will have accountability for the decisions they make.
IF UCLA recruits qualifiers that don't have to meet extreme academic standards to be recruited, and they maximize the NIL game and the portal, then we'll be successful. An organization...whether college or pro has to play by the rules that lead to success, to actually be successful. I know for a fact that UCLA was often not playing by the rules that would find more success....but when we have, we've won.
You're going to hit, and you're going to miss sometimes on hires. Jarmond has his guy.... a running back coach, former NFL player with a decade as an assistant, and 4 NFL running backs in the league currently.... again, you have some really good coaches who were position coaches prior to head coaches...I mean I don't believe Antonio Pierce has been a head coach outside of a couple years at Long Beach Poly before getting the Raider job... Dan Campbell wasn't a coordinator....
