And throw in Title IX. According to the linked website, "Today, women make up 44% of all NCAA student athletes." I assume some of them would like some of that $$, or extra $$ too.
And does NIL money come with an agreement that any payments are made only if the athlete is still a student in good standing and is working towards his or her degree? And who will decide how many years of eligibility an athlete will have after their initial enrollment.
With the transfer portal allowing an athlete to transfer at any time for any reason, will an NIL agreement expire when an athlete transfer to another institution?
There are so many questions, with answers forthcoming, some right some wrong. It's gonna be a safari that goes even deeper into the jungle.
