It's a slow news time so I will digress a bit with this.
On March 24, 2024 the FBI raided the home of Sean Combs, father of a former Bruin player. Many here wanted him immediately tossed in jail and many other condemned him as an obvious sex criminal. It was the FBI, of all things, so how could he not be guilty of a massive crime? He had to be a slime ball.
I stated that the raid was overkill, done for show and likely BS. I predicted the raid was likely an FBI misdirection operation and nothing would come of it for Combs.
Here we are 90 days later and nothing has come of it for Combs. He remains a free man, not charged with any crime stemming from evidence found in the raid. (I suspect the FBI was after damning info Combs had on either illicit FBI activities or some powerful friends of the agency and the FBI wanted to grab it and suppress it. They look to have succeeded.)
None of us knows reality, but one way you can test how close to the truth you are is by making predictions. If you thought Combs was going to jail, your reality filters are off. Change your news sources.
So the next time you read something jarring here, rather than attacking the messenger, re-examine your own thoughts and your processes. Work with the ideas, consider their plausibility and then either add something to the conversation that improves our understanding or just move on.
