Sounds like you're seeing the leading edge of the approaching storm.
Once the carriage fee money dries up a new model will replace it, and right now that looks like a PPV streaming model. It will get expensive which means there will be fewer CFB fans.
A new equilibrium may appear with most programs reverting to amateur status (see Patriot League) and an elite NFL, Jr. league of pro-adjacent talents. If NIL also dries up as the TV money disappears, the NFL will probably relax its entry requirements so HS seniors can go pro directly or after only a year. So long, CFB as we've known it.
