Portal and bowls

so clearly, if a guy has portalled to another school, they're not going to play for the school they are leaving in a bowl game.

Do guys that are languishing in the portal play for the team they are exiting? I assume not.

I would think that's going to leave a lot of rosters very thin in the bowl games.
