and trust me, I'm not going back to check, was Karl's recruiting efforts on the 2008 class. Yes, Karl was fired in Dec 2007 and the 2008 recruiting class was CRN's 1st class. That class was ranked #13 by Rivals and Karl recruited the large majority of that class. 20 of the 23 recruits gave verbal commits to Karl, which included Johnathan Franklin, Datone Jones, Rahim Moore. CRN did a great job converting those verbals to writtens but Karl certainly deserves some credit for the 2008 recruiting class.
