Under the proposed system, UCLA would just take Nico's cut (or at least the great majority of it) out of the $20.5 million pot. Anything beyond that would be subject to the $600 reporting requirement and scrutiny.
As of today, we are still under the fake NIL/pay for play system that has no rules.
Under either system, Nico gets paid.
The idea is to level the playing field. I worry, however, that UCLA will overspend on basketball and womens sports, leaving us still undergunned in football (which is the only reason the Athletic Department has any revenue to share to begin with). We are in the B1G because of football. Period.
