Before you give too much credit to Mullen at UNLV....

look up Barry Odom. He is THE reason why UNLV has ANY relevancy. He took a nothin program and won. He had the team 1 game away from a CFP spot. Odom is the reason why UNLV has good attendance numbers now. Mullen is coming into a situation that Odom paved the way. I'm not taking anything away from Mullen because he is saying and doing the right things to keep UNLV headed in a good direction. He obviously has very good past credentials.

If Mullen was hired instead of Chip, I'd have been really good with it. Odom was actually mentioned as a possible candidate when Kelly left which I would have loved having him, but I don't the the average UCLA fan would cared for him last year. I had hoped he'd stay 1 more year at UNLV and then maybe UCLA make a run at him. He's at Purdue now. Not much talent that I can see but 2-0 and playing $c next I believe.
