:)
I respect the parody...pretty sardonic!
And I'm pretty crusty myself, these days.
But I'm not as pessimistic as the above.
If you turn out to be largely spot on...am I being too dramatic in thinking that Ucla might just pull up stakes and close down the business? (OMG, I'm now parroting Deplorable.)
The broskis put it out there that, come 2030, when the current b10 media rights deal expires, Ucla might be on the outside looking in when comes to revenue sharing of the TV money. If Ucla only gets a 25% share instead of the current full share...can Ucla stay in business when it comes to CFB?
I think Bob Chesney may be Ucla's last chance to get it right. If CBC elevates Ucla to respectability (or better), Ucla FB may continue on a trajectory consistent with its past.
But if not...gulp. Join the Mountain West? Ask Cal and 'ferd to join us in a new conference? Drop down to UC Davis level of competition?
I'm probably being too alarmist. But there's going to be consequences from numerous 3, 4 or 5 win seasons in a row. Heck, even Vandy is capable of winning 10 games. The worst CFB program in history is #2 in the nation and just gained a Heisman Trophy winner...matching storied Ucla in number of all-time HT winners. So it's s or get off the pot time in Westwood, baby.
