I suppose it would, but I'm not sure that would help us that much.
I'd rather they play Oregon tough, get credit for doing so, and have Chesney in LA tomorrow night. Scouting, working on retaining key players, and playing golf with donors. Working on getting 10 JMU players into UCLA, budgeting with the new GM, getting himself settled in and ready for the opening of the portal.
There's a lot to do in those 11 days.
I really don't think players in the portal are looking for a coach with a high profile as much as they are looking for money and playing time.
