UCLA had 2 key injuries late in the year. It's part of football, but it was dramatic for UCLA. One was a defensive injury against Cal. I believe Dragovich or something like that and that was pretty impactful. But the the Center McKlosky(?) went down later and UCLA's offense just significantly dropped off. Next game, they were destroyed by Arizona and the offense couldn't do a thing. $c knew that and would just chip shot their kickoffs. UCLA just didn't have the depth and they got exposed. That whole game was just a nightmare.
I was even at the Texas game in Dallas talking to a couple former players about that and they we confirming the 2nd center wasn't anywhere near the same as the first.
