The main controversy with Notre Dame being passed over for a Miami team that had the same record and beat them during the regular season. And yet, it sure looked like Miami belonged after knocking off TAMU and Ohio State in successive weeks.
If ND is looking for an apology, perhaps it should direct it at the AD and administration who have steadfastly resisted all calls to join a conference, and instead have tried to maintain a special easier path the post season by euphemistically touting it as "independence." If they want a guaranteed path to the playoff, join a conference, play a conference schedule and win. In the meantime, quit whining.
