The people who are most nostalgic about it aren't even going to be around much longer to remember the good old days.
The last true Rose Bowl (Big 10/Pac 10) was in 2001. I enjoyed all of it just as much as the next guy, but it's over. Move on. Now it's just an old stadium that hosts mediocre football and a swap meet.
Where do recruits and Chesney want to play? That's where I want to be.
Also, I have a feeling that those most opposed to the move aren't doing so out of concern for the program, but simply because they want to tailgate. More specifically, they want to get hammered on the golf course and stumble into the game halfway through the 1st quarter. That's the tradition they want to preserve.
