Have we substantially improved on the lines?
We think so, but maybe not enough.
We should know week 1.
If our lines are competitive in that game, we'll exceed expectations, if they are not (rather like the Utah game at home last year), we won't (tho we'll still be better).
Win game 1 with good line play and a 7-1 start looks quite possible (we are definitely in the rose colored glasses phase of the offseason, where we don't see the warts yet), before a back loaded schedule (which may end up manageable - Illinois has a LOT of turnover, Michigan may pull a Utah and fade like many of Willingham's teams and 'SC may not be as good as people think...
