until the Cal group b****ed about it and then it became a big deal. I would be willing to bet UCLA knew full well Cal and eventually the BOR would have done enough to screw up that deal for UCLA if they informed them like they say they weren't. There also sure seemed to be quite a lot of speculation that those talks were happening so it still is hard for me to buy into the 'we were shocked that this happened without us' thing they try to portray.
I'll be the first to admit, I don't like how the SoFi/Rose Bowl saga has come about. On the Calimony thing, I'm in Ucla's corner. Right now, I just want UCLA to beat the h*** out of Cal, then they can get their check and just move on. Just bigger things to focus on for UCLA. Unfortunately I don't have a whole lot of trust that Calimony won't be put back on a table after this year.
