Like many on here said, it seemed like it was only a matter of time before Nico got hurt. Seeing him writhing in pain on the ground became pretty much a weekly occurrence. And to me it had little to nothing to do with pass protection, which was the case last year.
It's not so much that he ran too much as a QB, it's that he was a tall, skinny running QB who held the ball too long, tried to use too many moves in the open field, and just let himself get hit too much. And then, once teams saw how vulnerable he was, I think some of them were intentionally trying to injure him.
