Pls explain why Trump is bowing down to Putin?

I can't think of a reason why the president from a democratic country is bowing down to a dictator from a communism country?

He is literally selling out Ukraine, and pissing off everyone in EU.

Is his ego so bloated that he is willing to betray his country? I mean, he is literally a traitor by just bowing down to Russia.
