There was something about Obama getting the Peace Prize that set Trump off. He's also a stupid man that believes stupid things.

I think he believes that his relationship with Putin puts him in a unique position to settle the Ukraine-Russia war. And if he does, he figures he gets the Nobel and cements his place as the greatest dealmaker in the history of our universe.

His magic plan: Find out what Putin wants in exchange for ending the war and give it to him. Trump figures Putin is the only one who can end the war.
