Let's get this out of the way right off the bat. Do you think that some significant number of Democratic congressfolk should be primaried before 2026?

I think that you don't think we're in an existential crisis here.

"If the challenger is not better aligned with the party's base, they'll be beaten by the incumbent. It should in principle be as simple as that."

Coupla problems with this. Primarying the incumbent will a) likely divide the party's base, reducing enthusiasm for the candidate in the general; b) will certainly exhaust the incumbent's war chest, and probably exhaust the encumbent; c) possibly lead to a candidate that is less centrist and less appealing to the district or state, thereby being a less viable candidate.

If we weren't in a time of absolute crisis, we could kick around these ideas. But, for now, if we want to ensure the demise of our nation, we could implement them.

This chick is a hipper Jill Stein.

"fear of the left." I'm not afraid of anything other than the demise of our country. There is nothing the Left proposes that will affect me personally in a way that is particularly negative.

I am concerned for the welfare of our country. (I guess, to the extent that I think people like the lady you linked neuter our ability to fight for our country, and if she represents "the Left" to you, then yes, I have fear of "the Left's" idiocy).

(a side note on AOC - she is a kook. The Green New Deal road blocked any effective environmental legislation. Anything that was related to the environment in it was a stupid platitudes, not actual, effective legislation. And, it came packaged with a bunch of never-in-a-million-years pie in the sky hopes and dreams that were silly and were never going to pass. She is the enemy of the environment. And, the craaaaazy spending bills that the Democrats were trying to get passed, were .... crazy. Thank goodness for Sinema and Manchin.)

The "milquetoast" Democrats that you deride, brought us gay marriage, Roe v. Wade, massive and effective environmental legislation, massive and effective Civil Rights legislation and rulings, OSHA which influenced much of the world, Title IX which has had a huge influence on the world.

As a reminder - please answer how many Democratic congressfolk and senator you think should be primaried for 2026.
