even if they are already being taxed overseas. Uncle Sam will tax any income any American makes (except for billionaires, of course). What they do is to start with your income, calculate how much taxes you would have paid if you lived in the US, deduct from that whatever you paid in the country you live, and then they demand the rest.
It is infuriating for those of us who have live offshore or draw any form of income from, say, some foreign property.
I think there are a handful of countries in the world that do that and the US is one of them.
