Haven't read it yet will thanks for posting.
It's important to remember, Reuters and others have been posting since the deal was announced the energy promises are absurd and clearly not real. To meat the amount Trump says the EU would have to buy effectively triple what they buy from us now. Our total energy export last year is only slightly larger than what the annual export would have to be to hit the goal, but that's exports to the ENTIRE WORLD, not just the EU.
We would have to increase our LNG output 2.5 to 3 times to meet the goals Trump is claiming and almost as much for the other energy. Also note in order to do what Trump is saying we have to IMPORT more oil, because in order to refine what would be needed to meet this deal we have to use oil NOT drilled in the US. Guess where that oil would come from... Canada, the ones he's about to hit with a 35% tariff.
AS people look at the deal they are more and more saying it's just like the NATO 5% announcement where none of the parties involved, including the US, have ANY intention of actually hitting that goal they just announced it to shut Trump up.
