said he was packing for a cruise to Europe he called two weeks later in a groggy state and said he was in the hospital. Wasn't sure why or how he got there. A couple of weeks after that he said he was under hospice care at his daughter in law's house (his wife Ann died last yr). He said he'd heard something about throat cancer. He was clearly medicated and confused. I asked him to have his daughter in law call me. She never did and he never answered his phone again. I check every week for obits but none so far. Still no answer to his phone. Have no way to contact anyone. I suspect he's on his way out heavily medicated with hospice. We were friends for 55 yrs.
