was due to the shutdown. He was talking about the nuclear option. That's where this whole thing should have gone. Democrats should have let the Republicans make the move instead of ceremonially and publicly folding, which is a completely PR disaster.

Or they should've not gotten into this standoff in the first place. Utter failure at the gameplan level.
