of hitting the shooter. Trying to parse the situation finely to make it sound like he had reason to fear at the moment he fires his first shot is an attempt to rationalize the killing in my book. He's trying to crate an ambiguity that I, like most people who are not overtly or pre-disposed to justify police killings, don't see.
It's possible that in the world of trial lawyering these things can get fairly complicated depending on the arguments one's client wants to make, but me, as a naive citizen who could be in that jury box in principle, don't see any ambiguity in that incident whatsoever.
And damn right I'm mad. We should all be mad.
