You are, of course, free not to use this site. It has been run the same way for decades, and that isn’t likely to change.
TB has generously kept the board going even though he rarely posts himself. Many of us have enjoyed it for years for what it is. Those of us who have been here a long time understand that there’s no simple, low-effort way to police a forum like this.
You’re welcome to appreciate the board as the free resource it is, or to step away if it’s not for you. But repeated complaints in cyberspace aren’t going to change how it operates.
BluBlood is simply expressing the same point in a nicer way. Complaining about wanting the board tailored to your personal preferences only clutters the thread.
We’ve both been here for decades and have seen this pattern many times: someone new arrives, demands changes, and then gets frustrated when those suggestions aren’t adopted. That cycle isn’t new, and it’s unlikely to change.
When they’re reminded that this is someone’s private message board and that it exists at the owner’s discretion, instead of appreciating that, they get defensive—insisting it’s “just a suggestion”—and then repeat the same complaint over and over again, like a baby that can't fathom why the world doesn't give a sh!t about their opinion.
