maybe the use of the word "yellow" instead of "gold" is something to quibble about. They either need better awareness wrt what words connote, or they know it all full well and love to dog whistle.
The bigger problem, at least to me, is the fundamental lie underneath that. Real ID does not show that you are a citizen. It only shows that you're in the country legally. We don't have any form of identification other than a passport as proof of citizenship in this country. They keep on insisting on things that we don't have the infrastructure for.
