The Court is considering whether creating majority-minority districts violates the constitution. Is there any doubt the Court will? They will call it DEI and rule to gut the section 2 of the Voting Rights Act. The next lawsuit: reparations for white voters for decades of anti-white disfranchisement.
You might think breaking up mostly black districts will end up diluting Republican districts and make them more competitive. I looked at the maps. Because Republican districts are so red to the tune of 70-90%, they can afford to absorb black areas and still remain overwhelmingly red well above 60%.
The GOP stands go gain 20-25 seats. The House may not be in play for Democrats for decades. The Senate is already in the hands of the GOP.
