and it was an amazing movie. I gotta follow up on the other movies he made.
A friend of mine (a Georgian woman living in Paris) once posted on her fb a comment about maybe 8, 9 years ago that said "the best movies coming out right now are being made in Israel, Iran, and Turkey. And guess what these places have in common?" The answer was "being ruled by an oppressive regime".
I'm all in on Iranian movies and can't wait to go through the best ones. "A Girl Walks Home Alone" has been in my various queues probably forever.
