He is unpopular in Israel and has multiple criminal charges stayed because Israel is at war. They’ve had massive rallies against Bibi and his wars.
Bibi seized on the October attacks to engage in an endless war and stay in power.
He has a core of hardcore devotees, much like Trump, but wouldn’t probably would not win an election which is why he keeps expanding war and is empowering West Bank settlements (West Bank settlers are a core of his base) to stay in power.
I think Trump sees what Bibi is doing and says ‘what a great idea!’
