And todays CPI numbers are making it even tougher to know. 3.3 and again that's 3.3 with the Trump BLS, so it's probably higher and will be higher next month due to the war.
I have a friend from school who owns a small company Santa Cruz Pasta Factory, really good stuff, a bit on the high end pricewise but good stuff. A week ago he posted on FB that the gas price going up had already cost him $1600 because all the trucks they use are diesel. ON their website now they have a note about a minimum order for shipping because shipping has become so expensive and it's "not reflected in our shipping cost". So like many companies had to eat some of the tariff cost under Trump, they're now eating the gas costs but they won't for long and he was quite clear if this doesn't come down soon our prices will have to go up either on product or on shipping.
There's tons of companies like his in the same situation
