there are thinks they don't know and it'll take time for them to learn the ropes in a new role. They tend to automatically assume that by virtue of having made billions, they know everything about everything.

(For years I ranted about CEOs who would come to a technical meeting about sh*t they don't know the first thing about, drop a few mundane and extremely dumb suggestions as if they just came up with an idea that no one had ever thought of or looked into, like the first thing, and then make sure that they have the last word at the end of the meeting. The pure and unwarranted arrogance of a rich man cannot be underestimated.)

Having too much money does something to a person's brain. I think there are studies about that.
