RCP has him at 40% also.
He isn't at mid/lower 30s% despite what some news agencies/podcasts/youtube episodes say. They are cherry picking numbers of select polls that fit their click bait narrative. I can make the argument in the opposite that Trump is gaining popularity by picking a specific YouGov poll. It would be just as incorrect.
For the past month his average has been about 38% to 40% and everyone else that cites 33% or 34% is just picking the numbers they want to be true.
There have been blips that last 2 or 3 days but then Trump TACOs and his number reestablish to about 38% to 40%.
