I mean, there's a reason why they so strongly resisted endorsing him (some actually never did). There is a generational conflict here, a political one, and the more intangible one that I was hinting at, i.e., the fact that he knows very clearly what he stands for and what his job is, which is anathema to the modern Democratic Party, IMO.
All that and he is also at the crosshairs of AIPAC.
We'll see.
