It was the then Village Idiot, who called himself GhostofImmel at the time, who argued and mocked your suggestion that drones would play a significant part in the conflict.
Drones have come a long way in four years. At first they were reconnaissance, off the shelf rotor drones, and then they were dropping grenades or anti tank mines onto Russians.
Now they are using bigger, more lethal drones as guided weapons at much longer ranges, along with submersible and naval drones all across the battlefield.
Russia does use a lot of drones, mostly Iranian made or designed, as guided weapons.
