I disagree with you regarding VAR and offside. I think it's fantastic that they can get it right. And, I think it's insane that all these attacking player, who don't need that 6-12 inches to beat a defender in a foot race. Attacking player is facing toward the finish line. Defending player is facing away from the finish line. They are going to win the race. Add in the fact that the attacking player is likely faster, probably much faster, these guys that are cutting it that close are just stupid. You see guys that are 6-7 feet behind the (second to) last defender when they shoot getting goals called back for being off. Did they need that extra 6 inches? F#ck no. I'm quite happy there's VAR to get that right.
10. I could not agree with you more. Can't fcking stand the assumption that we are all England fans. I hate England. Personally, I'm not a fan of having high profile foreign players as part of the team. We got the same treatment before France - Paraguay. Two segments about France. Nothing about Paraguay. I mean, Henry is one of my favorite players ever. Right there at the top. But, that doesn't mean I want the pre-match coverage to be all France, nothing about Paraguay. I read that the Paraguay keeper was broke because of medical bills for his kid he was struggling to pay. Let's hear about that. And, since I'm ranting, why does every studio host on all soccer coverage in the US have to be an English woman? It just plays into that assumption that we're all England fans (did I mention I hate England?). I mean, don't take away my Rebecca Lowe, but all of them?
