Not puttingvthe country in the right track. The things that need to happen to put the country on the right track are way too fundamental for most Americans to even contemplate.
So at best, the rotting structure with its inadequate foundations will get a fresh coat of paint and a few cosmetic upgrades, more work arounds, more duct tape, back to business as usual. We'll add a few more minutes to the collapse countdown
The Democratic Party leadership irself is an obstacle to getting things actually fixed.
