I’m not understanding how replication is necessary for danger.

Also, a hack can go undetected for a long long time. The Solar Winds hack probably is still largely in place,

And a hack that is instigated by an AI agent, maybe hundreds of them, or thousands, is another level of danger from a hacking team. And add in the fact that the agents may not “know” the consequences of their actions.

I’ll come back to the CNN correspondent saying that our only chance for survival (I mean, we’ll always have caves. Caves won’t let us down) is the development of hunter killer AI agents.

It seems like some degree of major threat is fairly imminent.
