He's still on the hook for $454 MM

If he gets the bond, he can appeal. But if not, the DA can (and will) start seizing his assets.

My understanding is that, if he gets the bond, he can then appeal, and his assets can't be seized. Is that the case?

I don't know what the odds are that the appellate court will find in trump's favor and reduce the judgment against him. Will the same five judges who reduced his bond from $464 MM to $175 MM also be the ones to decide what the judgment amount should be? If so, then yeah, I can see expecting the court coming back with a reduced fraud amount.

But I don't think it's going to zero, or being completely overturned.

On a bright note, I really enjoy thinking about how this conviction (if it stands) will completely fvck over trump's life. Couldn't happen to a shiittier guy.
