That's a wish list after my own heart. But it's just a wishlist

Many parts of it would happen if the Dems were truly in charge but if/until then, it's not going to happen.

From the Heritage foundation:
"
A group of far-left lawmakers has introduced yet another bill to soak the rich. The new bill is called the Oppose Limitless Inequality Growth and Reverse Community Harms Act—the OLIGARCH Act, get it? It would introduce an entirely new tax on wealth above $120 million, starting at 2% and climbing to 8%.Aug 21, 2023
"
This is pretty much exactly what you're asking for, in spirit anyway. And it's what the Dems try to do:

https://www.cnbc.com/2022/07/29/house-democrats-push-for-bidens-billionaire-minimum-income-tax.html

The fact they haven't got it done like they did when we build the middle class in the 30's, 40's, 50's, 60's, and 70's doesn't mean they don't know what works, doesn't mean they don't want to do it, and doesn't mean they don't try. Maybe they don't try hard enough in your eyes but either way it's more than clear that right now it simply wouldn't matter. Again, unless Dems run everything it's not going to happen.

So the Dems pass what they can pass and the results we see in the traditional measures. IMO, it must be the case those results are used as a giant sledgehammer to smite the political opposition without equivocation. The results must be promoted, marketed to the electorate. Dems always get better results and we need to brand the GOPutin as utterly inferior in this regard. Because they are. But so many people don't think so. We need to change that. We need every vote. And we can't afford anybody staying home.

Yes a wealth tax like the Dems are consistently trying to do, getting the capital gains tax back to where it was before Reagan, higher marginal tax rates on top earners, banning paying CEO's in stock options, and everything else you say would work even better. History has proven that. But I think it's quite selfish and counter productive to indulge in your ideological purity by diminishing the successes we need to highlight to win elections. Especially given the fact the Dems for the most part would do what you want if they could.

So, is there not a way you can express your feelings about this without sounding like somebody who's job it is to depress the Dem vote? Maybe something like: given the structural obstacles the Dems face these results are good. And they show yet again that when Dems are in charge things always get better. And I'm pleased to see this time real wage growth and gains for those on the low end. But we're never going to truly fix our economy and give the bulk of the citizenry a fair shake until we do A, B and C. So we really need to elect more Dems to get more of this stuff done.

Would that not express the same view ? Or is that simply not what your view is?
