Let me put it this way. If I was told that there was a threat at my kid's graduation, I wouldn't go.
It happens all around me at colleges I am familiar with, UCSB, East LA College, Santa Monica CC, etc.
I'm not sure her speech is worth a mass exodus of graduates/families not showing up.
They put in the work also. It's their special day also.
I don't like any of this but as an administrator, I have to balance conflicting issues.
