which the Pac-12 uses for seeding. OSU was 6-17-1 (.271), AZ and ASU were 6-18 (.250) so OSU was seeded 7th. AZ beat ASU 2 out of 3 in their conference meeting so AZ was seeded 8th and ASU 9th.
The OSU tie was the series finale at home against CAL. Game was called with 2 outs and a runner on first in the bottom of the 8th due to a "drop-dead time" for travel, so apparently Cal had a plane to catch? This drop-dead time rule was used (infamously?) by Texas against Kentucky earlier this year (2/12/23) to turn a probable loss into a tie.
