He reminds me of Bailey in this way: both guys have/had a smoothness about them that makes things look kind of effortless. But, when they overtly are/were exhibiting effort, things break down. They have a glide, in a good way.
I think with both guys they can/could kind of do averything with competence, but it is taking/took a while fo find their game. Part of that is confidence. Part of that is knowing how/when to apply their skills.
And, I think that to some extent, Mick was forced to force feed Bailey, as we neeeeeeded him for offense. That is much less the case on this team. So, maybe Trent's development is coming more slowly. On offence, he's being asked to be a spoke, not and axle. It's my recollection that Bailey was much more relied on down the stretch of the season than Trent is.
I feel like we will see Trent bloom, as we did with Bailey. I fear that as soon as he blooms, he'll bail, as did Bailey.
