.... I tried to watch an nba playoff game a while ago and was bored to tears. I think a large part of it is that the league spends so much money, it has to work harrrrrrrd to generate interest, which supposedly means "make it more entertaining" And, the league perceives that "Entertainment" = Offense. So, the rules and interpretations of the rules have all been pushed to favor the offense.
Which is ironic, because from what I've read the viewing numbers are way down for the NBA.
If that is the case, and that's a massive if, I assume that as the expenses rise in CBB, they will do the same thing. As much as I used to love college basketball generally, and as much as I still love UCLA hoops, if CBB becomes like NBA, I won't be watching.
